after leaving the silly girl he met in the woods daigon decided to just go get a drink, kick back, and relax. and after asking around a bit he heard about The Hidden Badger and from the way the people had talked about it was amounting to be quite the place in his mind
after snaking his way through the empty streets he came across a door with music playing and the buzz of personal conversations between drunks, the kind which would be forgotten by tomorrow, he walked in and could smell the sweet stench of alcohol wafting through the air.
he took in a deep breath and let it out slowly "well its about time a guy can get a drink around here" he said under his breath and took a seat at the bar alone and waited for the bartender to assist him |

Wandering the same grounds for so long had never done miracles for Eannes--or rather Odette, as she preferred others in the Brotherhood to call her. Thus, a change of decor was much in order. And so the woman set off, more than pleased to be able to get away from the mass of the Brotherhood. She loved them all, as much as she could, being as Eannes only knew a handful of people, and as she was, in essence, a heartless witch. But sometimes, one needs to distance themselves from the places and people they know.
The Hidden Badger had been a name thrown around, whilst she traveled through the old worn dirt roads of the small town. Eannes hadn't payed much attentio nto what was being said about the place. The only bribes of information she heard had informed her that the place was always very crowded, loud and busy. It was, she knew, the perfect get-away spot. She would easily go unnoticed, and that was exactly what she was looking for. A place to blend in and just disappear in the crowd.
She'd been seated at a small table, barely able to suit three or four people, when she noticed a familiar face in the crowd of cheering men and flustered women. Eannes pulled her cloak tighter around her frame, her face veiled by her hair. It was some sort of a reflex, she noticed, to hide herself from anyone she knew, when she was outside familiar grounds. A very useless reflex at that. Eannes berated herself, batting away her hair and took a rather large swig of the mug of wine she'd asked for several minutes prior.
She was silly to think she'd be the only one to head out. Of course others would seek solace elsewhere. And so Daigon's presence shouldn't be considered anything else but a normality in a world full of such things. _________________ Everything's always fine in the end.

daigon was drinking a pint of port when he saw a familiar cloak he shouldnt make note of a familiar cloak of course there were always people wearing the same thing all over the place, but daigon had grown bored so he stalked over and sat across from the cloaked figure "hi there... do i know you miss?" he noticed the wine in her hands before she could respond "wine huh? would you care for some port or whiskey instead? my treat" |

"Whiskey is the drink of brutes and lightheaded fools." Eannes quipped, gingerly taking another sip of her wine. She hadn't given much thought to her reply, much less to the fact that she'd much dreaded this situation. She wasn't very interested in conversing with anyone she knew. Although, she admitted to herself, company wouldn't be unpleasant.
"I believe we've met before. Brothers knitted with a bond thicker than blood." Eannes added, being as cryptic as she could. For some odd reason she couldn't quite identify, she wasn't quite all at her ease directly mentionning the brotherhood. She toyed with the words a little, nothing too complex.
If she were to be honest, Eannes had only ever met the man before her once before, and it had been a rather brief encounter. It was, if she recalled correctly, within the first few days of her living among the Brotherhood that she'd met Daigon--or rather, Calot, as she'd heard others call him. And so her memories of his behaviors were vague, but at least he seemed, so far, to be a decent man. Worth of, at least, a little respect. _________________ Everything's always fine in the end.

daigon was shocked this was definitely his old acquaintance eannes. he smiled happy to be in good company "well oh my i guess your right ma'am i remember you from when i was still pretty new" daigon raised his glass high for a toast "to good memories and brotherly bonds" daigon had noted her reluctancy to use the term brotherhood and had decided to twist his words a bit as well |

"Memories and bonds" Eannes agreed, clanking her pint with Daigon's, taking another generous swig of wine. She was being careless, she knew--drinking so much wine in such an unfamiliar place!--but, she figured, if she'd nothing better to do the day after, and the day after next, why not cloud her mind a little? Just for once, this little once. (And maybe afterwards, if anyone offered.)
"It's been a while since I've seen you around..." Eannes paused a moment, taking a quick second or two to debate on what name to use. "...Calot, I believe it was?" She chanced. She preferred sticking with aliases for the moment being: if anyone her father knew was in the Badger--though a very unlikely thing to happen--she'd rather not have any attention drawn to her by having her name uttered, by whoever it may be.
"Though I believe I'm not in any position to inquire about anything; I, myself, have been awfully absent recently..." _________________ Everything's always fine in the end.

daigon grinned "its ok we all have their duties i wont bother with any questions" daigon to a drink of port and almost laughed at her quick drinking, she was either a heavy weight or making a mistake "but i will ask this!"daigon exagerated trying to seem dramatic "how've ya been?" he laughed a little from this. he suddenly grew a little worried that he was getting drunk so easily |

Eannes smiled lightly, even chuckled, something she seemed to have been completely uncapable of doing as of late. It was either the Badger's atmosphere--having such a large, cheerful crowd around tends to brighten one's mood--the company or the wine, but the girl found herself to be unusually... light. Although in any other circumstances, this would have been considered a very, very bad thing. One must not allow oneself to stray from the narrow path of assasins. Bright and cheerful emotions are one of the few things Eannes had learnt, that made one stray from that path.
"I've seen days much worse than this. At least now I don't have to hide in a forest and run away from bloodthirsty avengers!" She let out a bark of laughter, something dark and utterly sardonic about the way she laughed made her own skin crawled.
"But what about you? To seem so happy, surely you've got some secret or gossip to keep your heart light and that pint full!" _________________ Everything's always fine in the end.

daigon leaned forward and smiled almost laughed the reason was almost too simple "because" he held back a chuckle "in my job i know im doing good. and perhaps without me there might be less happy faces like the one your sporting" he leaned back and took a bigger drink "but why should we dwell on our jobs in a place such as this!" he turned and yelled to the bartender "i need some more drinks over here lad" he turned back to the woman and smiled wide "and THAT is how i keep my pint full" he laughed good heartedly perhaps from the drinks or perhaps from the joy of being reunited with an old acquaintance he really couldnt tell at the moment |

Eannes allowed herself a bout of innocent laughter as she leaned back in her chair. If anything, Daigon proved to be quite the entertainment! Then again, perhaps her slight intoxication may have been the source of her finding him unpredictable. Because his answers, though she felt she should have somehwat expected them, had caught her off guard.
"Of course, if you mean to say killing someone dangerous will make another person happy." Eannes agreed, though she frowned. "But I hate the idea of a father dying for a petty grudge. It's a rather ugly thing at time, what we do. But I much agree--oh, yes, just wine, please--that this is no place for sober thoughts."
How odd and suddenly very part of the crowd Eannes felt. She had the profound conviction that she was finally part of the rest of the village, that place she'd never seen much of or ever hope to be part of at all. Just a normal woman in a normal pub, drinking the usual wine... _________________ Everything's always fine in the end.

"I don't make it a habit to intoxicate myself beyond the opint of memories, if that's what you're implying." Eannes answered frankly, finding her usual cold allure and tone to be rather hard to keep. "And no thank you, I'm not hungry much at all."
Which was some sort of a lie.
In fact, Eannes simply doubt her stomach's capability of keeping whatever food it was she would want to ingest. She knew from previous experiences--pre-Brotherhood times, when she was lonely and worried--that she should not eat anything if she had plans of drinking as much as she then was. _________________ Everything's always fine in the end.

daigon looked longingly at the bar "hmmm well it would be impolite for me to eat and you not, s'pose ill pass as well" he sat down and leaned the chair back on two legs and chuckled looking off in the distance "drinking is a fine thing indeed to me... but as a habit it would be bad for my career path so i only do this every once in awhile"
he stifled a burp and looked back to the girl "so my friend! do you have a french initiate yet?" he was himself currently hiding from maryse since hiding was the only way to get private time when she was near |

"I'm actually not particularly fond of the French much at all." Eannes said thoughtfully, letting her head loll back as she thought. "Though, in all honesty, this one girl Josette caught my attention. I suppose I'll be seeing more of her around here with that being said."
Eannes took another swig of her wine, trying desperately to hold back but finding it harder as the minutes ticked by. Out of the blue, an idea ran through her head. Almost as soon as it had appeared, she'd voiced it.
"And please, don't hold back on whatever food you can manage to get your hands on. I wouldn't want to be the damsel-in-distress who keeps you from your pleasures, Calot." _________________ Everything's always fine in the end.
